This earring arrived promptly. It was in good condition overall, but I noticed a slight chip in the paint on the back of the main earring (not on a visible part). The earring didn't fit my ear right out of the box, so I heated it up slightly using a hair dryer and bent the head and neck part down. It bent easily and fits very securely now. Wearing the earring is not at all uncomfortable- I can tell it's there, but its weight is distributed pretty evenly. The tail part fits securely onto the earring post and I haven't been worried about losing it.
